Here's to cookies and time spent together

Bryce really misses me when I'm at work and the other night wanted to "make something together out of a cook book." He loves to cook, and aspires to be a fry cook like SpongeBob Squarepants. (I'm so proud) So we spent almost 20 minutes looking through the cook book, trying to decide what to make. We ended up choosing Aunt Carmas Banana Oatmeal Cookies, because we had extremely ripe bananas on the counter. Pearson Family cook book, page 203. We doubled the recipe and used 3 bananas. Bryce wanted to make sure we tell you that we added chocolate chips and that's what made them perfect. Yum-O! It was good for him to see fractions being used in real life, since we doubled the recipe, I made him figure out how much of everything we needed. And, since I have such a boring life, and never have anything interesting to blog about, I decided to document our experience and share it with you:) Lucky's!

That was adorable! So fun that you captured that happy moment in time. I could almost taste the banana and chocolate chip cookies...and after 4 weeks off of sugar and flour, believe me, my mouth was watering!!

Oh my gosh, my most favorite cookies of all times. I too put in chocolate chips I mean what is a cookie without chocolate chips and when I can walnuts, not everyone likes nuts. Last time Michele was here my Chelsea girl made them for me. That cook book is, so the best, you open it up and not only can you be guarenteed a great tried and true recipe but you see the names of all the people you love and you can't help but think of a fun memory associated with the name. I so love that everyone put a recipe in it. Love to you sweet Sharla

A warm and fuzzy story! Thanks for sharing Shar, it makes me appreciate the time I get to spend with my boyz too. On a different note, Lisa and I had a BLAST with your family and in a weird way we think that we fit right in. Do you think there is any way that we could be "honorary Readings?"

Look what a good mom you are! And even after standing on your feet all day long. You are awesome. Bryce looks so dang happy! What a fun night together. Your cookies look tasty.....just think how much better they will be once Brycie gets his glasses and can actually read the fractions he's supposed to be multiplying, let alone the ingredients! LOL

Hey-ya Sis! Guess what! I logged on just to look at your blog! It is 1:30 in the morning but I did it just for you. :)

Such a sweet story with you and Bryce. This is what I love about blogging, you'll always be able to remember this day and I know he'll cherish it forever too. Loved hearing about the concert and it TOTALLY made me regret not taking the chance to go with you.

Love you!

Look at that huge bag of chocolate chips you have!! Man, I would end up sitting in front of the TV eating out of that bag. I applaud you for making it all the way to the actual COOKIES.
You are a great momma, and these pictures just prove it even more.
